Payment Card Not Working

From to time you may encounter customers whose cards will not process on Stripe.

In most cases this will be because the bank has blocked the transaction.

You can check what has gone on by logging on to Stripe and Navigating to Transactions. Click on a Failed transaction and you will see the reason listed  i.e Blocked by Bank.

Stripe runs Fraud algorithms and will prevent a card from adding for a variety of reasons:
  • CVC (3 digits) and/or postcode do not match
  • No credit available 
  • Mark of fraud from the bank 

In these cases I suggest you encourage the customer to contact their bank, use another card or, as a last resort, use BACS.
